Saturdays Game
So the question at hand, and with enough time to figure it out, the 25th.
Who versus who? What are we thinking game wise Gents?
We want to do teams? Deathmatch?
Or some 1v1 Games?
Points?

Re: Saturdays Game
Sounds like it will be a 3v3 with 1500 points each. increased board size to accommodate and team movement instead of individual... Bring on the pain!

Re: Saturdays Game
so says the man who takes longer than anyone else in the basement... also with the team turns instead of individual that cuts out 4 people taking their time.

Re: Saturdays Game
I do not take the longest. If anything i have the quickest turns and most effective turns in the basement!
Re: Saturdays Game
We are going to remidy this. We will have timed turns. I am thinking 15-20min to resolve this. Shooting is also going to be simultaneous as well as CC. Your going to be on your toes the entire way.
What did not mention until now is that there will be a new deployment zone(s) and a new objective. It is dificult to explain the deplyment zone but as for the objective it will work like this.
The objective will be about 3" in radius. You get one point for every troop choice within 3" of the objective. You can not contest the objective with opposing units. So a heavy or fast attrack can not contest the objective. The side with the most troops within the range of the objective wins. There is no tie. If there is an equal amount with in the objective then we will count model points for the tie breaker.
Also we will be doing a battle report for this as well. So get painted up and have your Army ready.
One more note in this. To add to this large battle we are going to have secret objectives. Create one objective with a point value in order to prevent the tie breaker. It must something that can be accomplished and within reason. No "Must not have any troop killed."

Re: Saturdays Game
We need to make sure that we come up with all these things before saturday so we can start right away when we get there on Saturday.
Re: Saturdays Game
Agreed, oh and for the secret Objective's we come up with, can we create any modifiers, either positive or negative for any unit holding that objective? Like say you create an ammo cache as an objective, so any unit holding that objective gains a +1 to BS, Or say an radioactive artifact so any unit that is holding the object has to roll a d6, and on a one gains a wound for each model, standard saves apply.
What do you guys think?

Re: Saturdays Game
so you want to use the Cities of death obj rules. i like it since they are already designed for 40k and the rules are laid out in the rule book for it. which i have a copy of.

Re: Saturdays Game
We have a new secondary mission we are going to randomly roll for. So we will have two objectives each and one will be unknown to the other players including you comrads.
